The instruments of the international settlement system are as follows: payments from abroad, settlements directed to foreign countries, local settlements (non-cash transfers of funds denominated in foreign currencies in the territory of the Slovak Republic), and collection of cheques.
Data needed to perform international transfers:
- Name and address of the payment recipient
- Recipient account number in the form of IBAN (if applicable) i.e. International Bank Account Number
- BIC (Bank Identifier Code) – bank swift code
- Bank name
- HSBC SWIFT code valid in Slovakia: HSBCSKBA
